Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I already have Fridays off, and I plan to be up and watching the wedding.

In Utah, they don't give days off for Catholic holidays, which is what several locals think Easter is. Some of them actually have to think for a moment to remember what Easter represents (and they wonder why some people don't consider Mormons to be Christian). When I mention that in some areas it's a holiday-worthy occasion, they actually look baffled.

I have Friday off, but it's just my regular alternate Friday thing. I shall be getting my hair cut, eating lunch with a friend, and celebrating my BIL's 60th birthday.

Hmm, maybe teh Hivemind can help me out: what do you get a 60-YO saxaphone-playing swimmer?

A certificate for a tune-up on his sax? If he still has hair, something that will get the chlorine out? A CD he'd like? I think a new swimsuit is probably a little personal for a BIL...especially a speedo! Does he wear them? Would it be a funny joke? Only you know...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was going to suggest what I got for my sax-playing brother several years ago--the Zoot Muppet action figure. However, I just found out that ebay has it for anywhere from $120 to $235!! I think I'm going to call him and see if he still has his.

Because books.

Does he have a favorite piece to play? Or a favorite musician who write/popularized a piece? You could always look for a piece of vintage sheet music and frame it. I did it for my dad with a Navy song, and he was over the moon.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
