Our wings are not tired.

Erin, how did the meeting with HR go? Smoothly I hope?

All that said, I reiterate: you gotta do what you're comfortable with. If you feel more secure knowing the dudes who work on cars all day every day have gotten under the hood and fixed stuff up, that's what you should do. Because -- let me be clear -- the MAF sensor is honestly about the ONLY car maintenance/tinkering I've done.

I intend to ask about the MAF sensor. They seem to think the O2 sensor is completely borked, but it should be an easy for thing for them to check and I can go by their shop before I authorize the expensive fix.

Cool. It would be excellent if it were an easy, cheap fix.

I still have a bad cold and cough. It might be bronchitis. I'm still unwilling to go to a doctor, however.

You are an adult and can make your own decision. But a doctor will give you the good cough suppressant. IJS.

OpconA works for me.

I second Cass's recommendation.

For dinner, I'll probably reheat the chicken cauliflower curry I made yesterday over whole wheat couscous and topped with cilantro garlic greek yogurt.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm afraid to eat my leftovers from last night, in case that's what caused the current stomach troubles, and not the thing that's going around work. Oy.

I can't believe I don't slash them. I think something's wrong with me.

I would ordinarily agree, but if you don't see it, I worry about you.

Danno doesn't interact enough with Chin Ho for that to be worthwhile, but it would be visually appealling.

OK, I don't slash at all, but that idea of that ship is very very pretty indeed! (Signed, a biiiig DDK fan.)

Because I love you -- Danny/Chin

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH leaves tomorrow morning for a week away, so we are ordering in our favorite Thai food as a going-away dinner. Leftovers should last me a couple of days, so it's also a moar laziness dinner for me!

I use plain greek yogurt, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro if I have it fresh, although dried works as well. You can add a bit of lemon juice. It is an extremely simplified version of stuff like tzatziki and raita, I guess?

Erin, how did the meeting with HR go? Smoothly I hope?

Me, Erin? I can't remember which HR. The phone call for the Shmoop consult job went great.

The meeting with the school HR awhile ago was impersonal; basically, they just told me I'd gone two days over my PTO and would get those days deducted from my pay. Nothing else. They couldn't have cared less about anything else.

Whatevs, I'm fine with it. I can't see that I'll take any days off between now and then end of summer, unless I break a leg or have some serious illness and if that happens, they can fuck themselves. I'll work till the end of summer, do my best for my students -- after these novels and research papers are done this week and piles of papers graded over SB, I'm focusing on fun, easy to grade creative writing and reading, my seniors will have only two and a half weeks left anyway -- and then I can focus on freelancing.

Woo motherfucking hoo! I made two good contacts last night actually, at the show, so I am feeling more and more confident and excited about the freelancing thing. Things are percolating and bubbling and solidifying and it's great!
