Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

the Folger Shakespeare Library

Oh, I so wanted to get the job to scan their card catalog when my company converted them to a digital catalog.

I got to go to the Huntington, instead, so it wasn't a complete loss.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chin Ho spends all his time interacting with his cousin. No shipping potential there for me. Sadface.

Man, I don't have a free spot on my dual tuner for the Sam Axe prequel until next Saturday. I watch too much TV.

My dinner was the last of the cassoulet I had with the other Chicagoistas back on the 1st (I put it in the freezer while I was at Mom's, and it froze really well). Yum!

I also pulled out of the freezer the chili I had made at the end of March to let it defrost before tomorrow so I could pack it up for lunch. I think tomorrow night I'm going to make up some lemon chicken for dinner for the week.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My dinner was a grilled cheese sandwich. I still have a bad cold and cough. It might be bronchitis. I'm still unwilling to go to a doctor, however. I've spent the entire day reading BBCHolmes/Watson fanfic. This may not have been the best use of my time. OTOH, I'm sick, dammit. I should be resting, right? Right here on the sofa.

Our wings are not tired.

Erin, how did the meeting with HR go? Smoothly I hope?

All that said, I reiterate: you gotta do what you're comfortable with. If you feel more secure knowing the dudes who work on cars all day every day have gotten under the hood and fixed stuff up, that's what you should do. Because -- let me be clear -- the MAF sensor is honestly about the ONLY car maintenance/tinkering I've done.

I intend to ask about the MAF sensor. They seem to think the O2 sensor is completely borked, but it should be an easy for thing for them to check and I can go by their shop before I authorize the expensive fix.

Cool. It would be excellent if it were an easy, cheap fix.

You are an adult and can make your own decision. But a doctor will give you the good cough suppressant. IJS.

OpconA works for me.

I second Cass's recommendation.

For dinner, I'll probably reheat the chicken cauliflower curry I made yesterday over whole wheat couscous and topped with cilantro garlic greek yogurt.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm afraid to eat my leftovers from last night, in case that's what caused the current stomach troubles, and not the thing that's going around work. Oy.

OH MY GOD. Doctor Who/My Little Pony mashups! Not fanfic -- action figures: [link]

My Little Jack Harkness is PURE AWESOME.
