You guys are making me uneasy, because I'm fairly confident I'm at least not pretentious.

Oh, I'm totally pretentious.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I don't think I'm particularly pretentious, nor am I a sociopath. I am kinda at the far end of GenX, anyhow...

Can I just complain about Oz, the cat. He keeps peeing in my foyer. On hardwood. Then he covers it up with papers, hats, shoes, whatever he can find, and I don't find it until much later. Mostly he's not ruined anything, (Or I've managed to save it,) except today I found a hiking sneaker completely soaked in cat pee. Sigh.

On top of that, the vet thinks Oz's bullying behaviour is why Clio is chewing the fur off her paws. They mostly get along, but when he's a jerk, he's a real asshole. I don't really know what to do to correct him...it's hard to catch him in the act. And 95% he's a pretty good cat. Which makes the 5% of incorrigibility hard to take.

Because books.

I can never remember where Gen X begins and ends. I think I'm a little old to be part of it? Or definitely version 1.0 or something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's mid-60s through mid-70s, I think.

Ooh, sorry about Oz being an asshole, Sue. Yikes. At least when my cat pees on the floor, he just leaves it there?

not your mom's socks.

"the term generally includes people born in the 1960s through the late '70s, sometimes as late as the early '80s, usually no later than 1981 or 1982." from wikipedia

This day has been all about gronk. But! I mailed the letters to the Evil Bank of Evil (and the copies to all the agencies) and I hope this is the end of it. PHEW. Thanks so much to Maria and Le Nubian. You guys saved what was remaining of my brain.

Now all DH has to do is remember to start things up with the credit union.

At least when my cat pees on the floor, he just leaves it there?

The funny thing is that he never covers up anything in the litterbox. (A sign of asserting his dominance, the internet tells me.) But when he goes elsewhere, I never notice until the smell hits me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can totally see how just about anyone here (including me) could be called pretentious.

And I can see how I could be called a sociopath, but seriously? Don't make me cut a bitch.
