Hark A Vagrant fans, I am going to A.P.E. tomorrow and will be stopping by the Kate Beaton table. If you could ask her to draw anything what would it be?
I am going there today and tomorrow! Give me a ring.
Tomorrow, Kate Beaton is signing from 11 to 1, and her panel is at 1:45.

I thought you might!
Give me a ring.
I will. You'll get to meet Emmett's godmother, Karen. She's a big Kate Beaton fan.
In better news, Good Stuff just got its 100th follower!
That's very cool!
Apartment~ma to you, too.
So I just found out I really can't afford to stay in my immediate neighborhood -- a place down the street is going to have something for double what I'm paying. Oops. Also met and commiserated with a couple of neighbors, one of whom was on his way home with liquor. Heh.
That sucks, Jesse.
It's totally reasonable for me to subscribe to Hulu+ just because there is one show I don't want to be 8 days behind on for the whole season, right?
Fuuuuuck. I have to move. As of 10/31. What's even more awesome is I'm supposed to be out of town that weekend.
Damn Jesse, when my last apartment went condo they gave us 2 months' notice and offered the possibility of extended rental for some folks who needed more time as long as there were still empty units to renovate.
One month seems like it would be violating some kind of housing laws if we're not talking about squatters or people behind on their rent.
Oh, Jesse, how frustrating and nerve-wracking. I hope the housing gods smile on you.

With a month-to-month lease, which we all have now, they only need to give one month. It's so shitty!
Is there another neighborhood that is as good for work? Also if a month is tighter than you can manage, one way to handle it would be to tell them you wont be able to find a new place sooner than (date six weeks or two months from yesterday). If you act like there is just no way you will leave before then, there is a good chance they will give you an extension. Because , depending on how much hassle your state makes evictions, an eviction procedure could take longer than that anyway, and involves legal hassle your new landlord would probably rather avoid. And if it looks like they will take a legal route anyway, you can always back down.
Feh, Jesse. I hope you find something easily.
