That sucks, Jesse!
It sucks monkey ass.
Hark A Vagrant fans, I am going to A.P.E. tomorrow and will be stopping by the Kate Beaton table. If you could ask her to draw anything what would it be?
Right now I'm kind of into 1980s Businesswoman Comics but feel like I should do something more Ada Lovelace or grumpy Jane Austen.
30 days seems a little ridic to find a place, hire movers, scrape up first, last, security...really? One month? I am enraged on your behalf.
Shit Jesse, that really sucks!! I'd get on the hunt now. I've been hearing the rental market in Boston has gotten really tight lately.
On the plus side, at least the last day wasn't August 30th. On the down side, how many open places are there going to be two months after Sept. 1?
The upside is I figure all of the places available now are adult apartments.
There are like two listings on craigslist that look decent i my price range. Half my problem is that I can only easily get to work from a couple of neighborhoods.
And yeah, I definitely don't have the money. I knew this was a risk when they wouldn't give a full year lease last time.
In better news, Good Stuff just got its 100th follower!

I am going there today and tomorrow! Give me a ring.
Tomorrow, Kate Beaton is signing from 11 to 1, and her panel is at 1:45.

I thought you might!
Give me a ring.
I will. You'll get to meet Emmett's godmother, Karen. She's a big Kate Beaton fan.

That's very cool!
Apartment~ma to you, too.
So I just found out I really can't afford to stay in my immediate neighborhood -- a place down the street is going to have something for double what I'm paying. Oops. Also met and commiserated with a couple of neighbors, one of whom was on his way home with liquor. Heh.
