The methadone is for pain control. In order to reduce the amount of home pain meds I'm on. But I bet it's used to wean people off dilaudid, so what happens if you take them both at the same time?
Aww, Gracie and her older friend.
'Safe'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Xoponex, Suzi, but it's non-formulary, so lots of insurance won't cover it. If you can get your doc to say it is necessary due to tachycardia, then they might budge (but maybe not). Our copay on it is $90/3-month supply. We have it in both nebulizer and inhaler. If we have an extra sample inhaler, I could send it to you. I think we might?
At picture day, Grace and Alexie sat next to each other and held hands because he doesn't have enough trunk strength to sit on his own and she was sad and having a fit. We love Alexie. He's the middle kid of 5 (and mom is a gymnastics coach who is Latina and dad is a Israeli). Beautiful kids. Alexie was also the kid who was trash talking his older brother Maximilian at one of the games. Max was on the other team. Cracked me up.
Aw, kid sweetness.
Aww. Kat, that's adorable.
Right now, I'm looking for a good font for a Princess-Bride influenced SPN illustration in my typical scratchy attempting-realistic style. I don't know where to start, or where to ask. And I have no pictures to post. Most of the questions that have come to me for a thread like that have had external links, if any.
Good point. Mostly, I have been texting the few things I draw to people and/or posting them to Tumblr, just to keep me motivated, but I'm sure I'd have actual materials questions.
OMG Kat's kids are ADORABLE and Alexie sounds fantastic. So glad it was a good day.
I went to stretch class tonight and am now relaxing with cheese and wine. And sharing the cheese with my cat. So good. I might need to go get more cheese.
OH!
I had the worst training EVER about the gays at work on Tuesday. This guy who is in charge of the anti-discrimination unit came to teach us to be nice to the gay kids. Doozies that would have made Buffistas growl:
1. He said kids these days use the word queer because they like the fluidity. I mumbled under my breath that people like queer because they think of themselves as non-heteronormative.
2. When he asked who knew about Stonewall and only X number of people raised their hands, he actually said, "Well let me educate you."
3. He actually said the words equitability and comfortability as opposed to equity and comfort.
I wanted to say, "You are the reason we gays can't have nice things."
I wanted to say, "You are the reason we gays can't have nice things."
It could be worse. My yearly anti-sexual harrassment training is like a monstrous construct of evil double speak.

OK, only tangentially related, but at Franny's back-to-school night the other 3rd grade teacher proudly presented her technique for teaching paragraph writing and nearly every element made my inner comp teacher weep. But the worst by far was the comment, "I teach them to spice up their writing with '25 cent' words, like instead of writing 'I was happy' I tell them to try 'I was ecstatic!'" Cringe. I mean, I see why she thinks it's a win, but oy! If she only knew how hard it is for college comp teachers to retrain students to drop the "plethora" and just write "many."
comfortability
I'm going to arbitrarily define this as the scale used to compare competing comfortadors.
Oh, wow. My family. The drama from my grandmother's death earlier this year has involved squatting, eviction proceedings, trespass, breaking and entering, and theft. By more than one person. And that's not even counting the rifles missing from the gun cabinet.
Wow.
