Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

Much easier to catch up than, say, all the Criminal Minds I'd like to one day.

Very true, and I am right there with you on Criminal Minds, too.

I watched a Doctor Who on BBCA today, and there was a huge, really significant chunk chopped out of it. It's kind of a bummer. How many minutes do they have to edit out on BBCA for hour long shows?

Plus it is streaming on Netflix, which is how I watched it.

Ooh, that's great. Thank you!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thank you for the reminder--I just asked Tivo to record it for me online, since I may not be home ontime to ask in person.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hmph. All the local supermarkets whose meat departments I trust are out of chuck eye this week. Boneless short ribs are not nearly as tasty. Though V-8 turns out to be surprisingly so.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just turned on my heat.

Whereas it's unusually hot in SF.

Well, unusual compared to the rest of the year; this is the season (late Sept to Mid Oct) that is hottest in San Francisco.

Anyway: We're having root beer floats tonight.

And Orange Chicken. Except JZ who is having Orange Faux-Chicken (by Gardein. Their fake chicken really has the right texture).

Because books.

It's amazing how much noise four large teenage boys can make walking (calmly!) up uncarpeted stairs.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

OMG, the new antagonist on 90210 is making me twitchy. I can't believe I give a fuck.

I remember four large teenaged boys! I loved bits of my early 30s.

Which is both more and less wrong than it might sound.

Emmett's like a little chaos generator that comes equipped with a stack of Marshall amps.

Just one of the reasons why he's so popular at little kid birthday parties.

Speaking of which, Matilda's party is this Saturday. I'm afraid we'll look a little shabby after Sena's birthday party which had an Actual Magician. OTOH, we have Emmett who is way more fun than any magician.

Guess who has two thumbs and is watching Luther 1.01? This girl!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It's amazing how much noise four large teenage boys can make walking (calmly!) up uncarpeted stairs.

What's really amazing? That the human ear can endure such noises.

Also amazingly noisy? Four 8 year old girls (of no great size I might add) SCREAMING.
