Ann, that's a ferret.

((((Gud and family))))

Google's logo today also celebrates Gagarin's flight.

Mouse over the logo. Neat effect.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm sorry you're getting such bad news, Gud.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I am not doing an onerous task this week (unless it's one that I have to do for my job). The closer I get to Friday, the more I feel like bouncing off the walls.

(((Sparky))) I hope your puppy comes home soon!

I usually listen to shows while I work on more tedious tasks at work. Right now I am listening to Pie-lette on WB.com, but with Pushing Daisies, it's pretty hard to not want to watch it because the visuals are so stunning.

I am sorry Gud. We are still up in the air as far as what's happening with us. It's better news than it was, but still unstable.

Because books.

I don't know anyone who's a short sleeper. I don't want to. I could sleep ten hours every night, and I'm like shrift -- I'm a serious night person, but that schedule doesn't work well with the rest of the world.

Sparky, I'm heartbroken for you and DH.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I went to bed early and actually slept well last night for the first time in a while. What is it about sitting in an infusion clinic for 3 hours getting iron wipes me out?

CJ also slept well. Well enough to sleep through his alarm and get to school 45 minutes late. Oooops. Luckily his first class is PE, so he didn't miss anything major.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sparky, I lost Dallas for 15 minutes and was hysterical. I can't even imagine how awful this must be.

Likewise Gud, job problems when you have a family are beyond my reckoning. Well beyond.

You are both very much in my thoughts. Hang in there.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I got the application in and with a cover letter. Whew! ok, now dishes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dammit, that's not what I meant to have for breakfast.

I'm a decent night person. I can stay up really late. But I guess the fact that I can wake up really early is more important and I'm better characterised as a morning person. You remember my reaction to the idea that I should have caffeine in the mornings. It just doesn't seem right for me to need it. I got 40 years without it. Up is up.

It wouldn't help me on a crap morning like this anyway.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

According to my mother, I stumbled around semiconscious in the morning from the time I was a toddler. One of the more annoying things about moving away from home was that people talked to me in the morning. My family knew better.
