Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I am not pregnant. Were I pregnant and having a girl, however, I would already have ordered this onesie:

There's a onesie I've come across that would sadly no longer fit Ryan, with the caption "iPood".

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha, Hayden, that's great. The comments (never read the comments!) mostly seem to say, "we're sorry you're smart."

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Up until this year I've been plagued with doubts on and off about starting Franny in kinder when she was 5. (She turned 5 only 2 weeks before school started.) But this year is different. She off to such a great start, she's so engaged and motivated and she feels much more confident. Puts many of my nagging doubts to rest.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I was a small person to begin with, and painfully shy. And it was still totally the best thing for me to be in school early.

Franny can be shy too. I like to say she's shy but she's not reserved. Once she's warmed up to you she'll open up completely.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

There's a onesie I've come across that would sadly no longer fit Ryan, with the caption "iPood".

Aeryn has a bib that says iPeed. It was a gift.

My sister and I both have November birthdays - she was redshirted, I was not. Ultimately it seems to have been the right call for both of us.

My kids have June and January birthdays, so it's not something I'll ever have to wrestle with.

I like to say she's shy but she's not reserved. Once she's warmed up to you she'll open up completely.

Heh - I think I'm the opposite of this.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh - I think I'm the opposite of this.

"Once Jessica really knows you, she'll freeze you out with an icy glare.

Matilda is celebrating her birthday with more sleep.

Emmett, however, had to get up to catch the 6:08 Muni to downtown to catch a 6:40 BART to the East Bay, to grab his bike at the BART station and ride home to drop off his computer, then get back on his bike and ride it to school before 7:40.
