In the end, I don't take all the bad stuff to heart. If I did, I wouldn't keep writing. There is some good stuff in criticism. It just takes me awhile to sort through it, discard the crazy, and work on the shit that rings true.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Like, there's a review where the person is disgusted by my "potty mouth."
Well, I'm not the writer for this person. A) You used the term "potty mouth." We're not going to see eye-to-eye on a lot of stuff, and B) this is how I speak. I'm ok with it.
Yo Allyson, please feel free to check out the hatefest following my first Simpsons article on the AV Club. [link]

Ha, Hayden, that's great. The comments (never read the comments!) mostly seem to say, "we're sorry you're smart."
Up until this year I've been plagued with doubts on and off about starting Franny in kinder when she was 5. (She turned 5 only 2 weeks before school started.) But this year is different. She off to such a great start, she's so engaged and motivated and she feels much more confident. Puts many of my nagging doubts to rest.
Yeah, I was a small person to begin with, and painfully shy. And it was still totally the best thing for me to be in school early.
Franny can be shy too. I like to say she's shy but she's not reserved. Once she's warmed up to you she'll open up completely.
Skipping once more because, according to Perkins "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Sep 26, 2006 11:00:57 am PDT today is Matilda's birthday.
Happy birthday, you how-can-you-be-so-big-already? beautiful girl! With lot of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
Nilly! How are you doing?
Happy Matilda day!
