Trust my rage

Oh, Burrell, that would be great, but there is no rush and I can totally pay for my indulgence. About a year ago, I had a NM client and I mentioned to her that I loved TJS and that we don't have them. WIthout telling me, she went out and bought me two huge boxes full of TJs stuff. I still have some but of course, I ate all the best stuff months ago. But I know you are busy, like all of us. So only if it was convenient or something.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

We need a TJs national distribution plan like the VHS tapes in the old days. Because I am looking forward to all their Christmas candy, but require a trip to Albuquerque to do so.

Uh oh, Stephanie, do you need a TJs care package? When I was in college, TJs was strictly a So Cal store so my mom's care packages leaned heavily towards TJs treats.

I was about to say--I would totally do a shopping trip for you.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Heh. Great minds think alike.

You know, Buffistas are awesome. I had a phone conversation with Joe this morning and while I know I really shouldn't get into the details, it included him saying I had (not literally) beaten and pummeled him. And while I am at peace with all my decisions in this divorce process, those sorts of phone calls leave me feeling very much in need of even the thought of a care package. Like, it's nice to be reminded that some people who have known me for a long time like me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I also am happy to go to TJ's for anyone. I am in there 3x a week, so if a need arises, I'm happy to purchase.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Aw, Stephanie. I've known you for a long time, and like you a lot. And when I get back from France in a couple of weeks, I'd be happy to send you a bunch of TJ's stuff, too. And some Southern Season stuff too, if you want it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Successful, though lengthy, chili making. Tomatoes, tomatillos, chorizo, corn, peppers, onions, garlic, chili powder, black beans, and cilantro.

Everything except the canned beans, chili powder, and chorizo came from the CSA, and the chorizo came from the farmer's market.

Yom yom. Dinner at Dana's house!

DH brought home a whole chicken yesterday because he wanted chicken enchiladas. At first I was mildly eye-rolly but it actually was a delicious idea. Poaching a whole chicken for the enchilada instead of just pieces meant we had yummy broth left over for soup today, and there's still some chicken left to make into salad or something else.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, that's hard, Stephanie. I'm sure Joe is hurting at the end of the marriage, and saying what he feels he needs to. But you are a lovely person and we like you no matter what!

Because I am looking forward to all their Christmas candy, but require a trip to Albuquerque to do so.

Also, ha, this is the closest TJ's to me too, probably! We should make a joint TJ's pilgrimage!

I'm having a good vacation after a rough start. On our way we stopped to watch some people flying (huge) radio-controlled airplanes, and noticed we were low on coolant. Then we blew out a tire on the highway, but the SO changed it (using a coconut husk to dig out the sand around it!) and our spare is a full size, so we were back on our way. Yesterday we went to Bearizona and an arctic wolf licked our car door handle. Then we were tired so we ordered in and chilled at the hotel. Today we went to the Museum of Northern Arizona and saw an amazing exhibit of Zuni map art. We had our big anniversary dinner for lunch instead so it would be cheaper and also so we wouldn't have to mess with it around concert time. SO had blackened mahi mahi and I had Alaskan halibut with beurre blanc, and it all tasted great but we felt sick afterwards. So I dunno if it was bad (yes, I know, fish in the middle of Arizona) or if we're just not used to the richness of restaurant food, but blah. Anyway, then we went running around town and hit the local outfitters (nice stuff but too expensive, even in their big offseason sale) and the Barnes & Noble, where I had a salted caramel mocha. Now more chill time before this evening's show.
