Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This just indicates poor impulse control.

It indicates pleasing my damned self, which is pretty key.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It indicates pleasing my damned self, which is pretty key.

I prefer to think of you fighting The Bedazzler.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was worried about my boss, who I knew was around 60 years old. She'd been with the company forever, but I didn't know if she had yet qualified for retirement under the Rule of 90 (age + years with company). Turns out she does (60 y.o + 39 with the company--she started when she was 21!). So that's good for her.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh man Kathy, scary.

I just had the first kinda stressy interaction with the new boss. She came in and started in on a project that I thought was a later on something we would get done and she is all, I want this done today! But with no real plan of how it will be used or why it needs to be done today or any question about what else I was already in the middle of. ugh.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Good lord, Kathy! How very exciting in-the-not-good-kind-of-exciting way. I'm so glad you still have a job.

Ugh, msbelle. I hate that. Respect other people's time and schedules.

In really good news, DH's full body scan came back, and NO CANCER IN THE MAJOR ORGANS! I'll take it.

And I wanted to say thank you again for last week. You picked me up again when I was low, and I appreciate it, even if I don't always say so in a timely fashion.

lisah, thank you so much. It's really nice to know that my reactions are not out of the ordinary. You have been more of a help already than you probably know.
