Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

it exploded and I got blood on my new teal tights

NO! That's the worst. And a really really rude mosquito.

Because books.

The mosquitoes are getting nasty. We had a phone call from the town about West Nile and all kinds of lovely stuff.

Our open house is run like a school schedule. The parents follow their child's schedule and meet in each class for 8 minutes. It's not a one-on-one conference with us.

That's the way ours was run, although we had a little bit longer than that in each class.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I mostly want to hear that mac is not an issue. Want to convey that I see myself as a partner with the teacher and really want to be contacted as soon as there is an issue. Also clue them in to some of the challenges with mac before they get behavior that to them seems unwarrented or extreme.

FYI - I know I have shared this before, but blood stains from your own blood will come out when rubbed with your saliva. PH something or another. go science.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Holy shit.

My entire department just got laid off, except for me. I'm going to be working for another group but I have no clue what exactly I'll be doing for them.

Holy shit.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yikes, Kathy! I'm glad you were spared but that's a huge shock.

Amy - Sep 23, 2011 6:34:18 am PDT #27956 of 30001
Because books.

Yikes, Kathy. I'm glad you've still got a job!

msbelle, I thought just rubbing the blood into itself worked, too? Something about the proteins?

meara - Sep 23, 2011 6:38:59 am PDT #27957 of 30001

Saliva works on the blood because of enzymes I think. There are enzymes in your saliva that break down stuff (that's why if you chew up a saltine cracker and hold it in your mouth a minute it starts to taste sweet)

Wow, Kathy, that's scary.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good god, Kathy. That must be weird. Don't get survivor's syndrome, or anything.

Today is Wear an Odd Number of Earrings Day.

It's the best I could do at the last minute.

I'm also wearing eyeliner, and it looks pretty rubbish. I so desperately suck at that even line, and deciding how much or how little to apply.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Holy crap, Kathy! I'm glad you were spared, but yikes!

JenP - Sep 23, 2011 6:41:03 am PDT #27960 of 30001

Good grief, Kathy. I'm glad you're OK in this. Yikes.
