I don't know. My FiL was with my MiL for nearly 2 decades with her in an FAC. I don't know how deep into it she was. I do know that he didn't have Christmas until he was 23 years old.

Thanks you guys. DH was already really stressed with work overload, and this - and the morale sink (4th time in 3.5 years) - is making things even more fraught. I'd put money on his health stuff being stress related. I'd like to see it work out ok for him. My fingers are crossed, and I'm very grateful for the ~ma.
