I've discovered that my mortgage is not appearing on my credit report. How can this be? I went to Citi to apply for a loan - ended up not taking it, but in the process I discovered this. The lady doing my paperwork said, well, you credit score is really good, maybe it doesn't matter! Um, no, it matters. I've been making payments on this mortgage for two years! I want the credit, so to speak. Frankly, my credit was never very good before I got the mortgage, so I can't understand how it can be so good without it. It's not like my spending habits have significantly improved.

But jeepers. The last time I tried to correct something on my credit report, I spent months and ended up failing completely; the erroneous items are, AFAIK, still on there. Whatever the magic trick is to get credit reports updated and corrected, I don't know it. Anybody got advice?

No, it was only Equifax, apparently. The notice I got in the mail only listed that one.

I would probably work to correct negative information. Neutral or positive information is a harder sell to get them to correct.
