Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

For the record, Allyson is awesome. I often lament that I can's magically appear where she is and take her out for coffee.

Whenever I'm having a day, I think I need to take a couple of days, fly into seattle, get a decent hotel room, and go play dress-up and clubbing with Jilli.

4 SRS. I do.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Our neighborhood has so many empties, but I don't do that! I mean, technically, I try to recruit everyone who ever visits me, but they don't take me seriously. Plus, my one remaining neighbor I hadn't met stopped me on the road the other day to tell me to watch out on my walk because there was a snake in the road. (There was. It was huge.) And we stood there and talked for a half an hour, in the middle of the road. Anyway, the point was, he told me that the owner of the majority of the surrounding properties is a crook. Hee. So maybe I shouldn't be suckering people into having to deal with him.

That starting bid is less than the downpayment for my place. I hope it goes to a great young couple, Sara, who can make it their home for years to come.

Heh. My sisters house in Indiana cost less thanmy downpayment. But she has to live in Indiana.

Oh, that would be so wonderful. I have such cute things to dress you up in! The StuntHusband and I have a new swanky club to go to, even. (There has been club and dj DRAMA for the past two years, good lord. But now we have a steady place, and it is fantastic.)

My neighbors only believe I'm an introvert when I explain that I need hours to recharge after an evening, which is why I decline events that start at midnight. And even then, I'm not sure they quite believe me. I like who I've grown into in the past couple of years. Even if I am That Neighbor, the one who doesn't hesitate to go chasing down the utility trucks at 11 at night or stop the patrol cop to chat them up and get any scoops to be had.

Because books.

Events start at midnight?!

I remember those days, though. At, like, 10:45 someone would say, let's go to X bar and play pool and drink cheap pitchers! And it would be way uptown and 11:30 before we got there, and it would seem like nothing.

Now I'm usually in my jammies by, like, 7:30.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Events start at midnight?!

Just the thought of that makes me want to crawl into bed. If I'm still up and about at 10:45, that is a very late night for me.

You have paper files, no?

No! I just have a very good memory.

I thought we established long ago that they were scribbled on paper plates, with various condiments denoting certain things. Plum sauce = likes to read biographies of foreign heads of state. Dijon mustard = only wears sweatpants on Tuesdays. And so on.

ION, the first apple crisp of the season is just about to come out of the oven. I only hope it serves as sufficient apology to Tim for the sore throat I gave him. (D'oh.)

Yeah, the neighborhood's Best Boyfriend Ever is in a couple of bands that play frequent gigs. I don't know how S does it, she used to be one of those in-bed-by-9 sorts. She's in lurve, I guess. But anyway, those are late nights. If I were to go, I wouldn't be asleep until sunrise, and I just have too much I want to get done these days.

Hell yes they do. It's the freaky morning events I don't understand. 9AM? That's EARLY, dammit.
