It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Or in a squash court with a cheetah.

That's never going to be not funny, is it?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I didn't think people said stuff like that out loud.

I just hope that quote gets repeated loudly and often.

I can only imagine it will. Are people really that clueless? Well, of course they are. I'm just saying, I'm careful what I say in public, and nobody gives a crap or quotes me (much). I only wish I had to be so sensitive as to not whine about my meager, leftover $400,000. I could totally be sensitive about that, Universe. Just sayin'.

He was saying he only has $400,000 personal income right? Not, I only have $400,000 with which to pay my employees their salaries, benefits, and to reinvest in my business, right?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Good lord.

Give or take a few decimal points, I know exactly how he feels.

Yeah.

I can't listen to the audio at work.

He could mean that. It isn't clear from the quote.

I forgot how comforting you guys were.

Yeah, I just went over and looked. He sort of means personal income. His point was that, while his businesses pulled in $6.3 million:

Fleming responded by saying that while his businesses made $6.3 million last year, after you “pay 500 employees, you pay rent, you pay equipment, and food,” his profits “a mere fraction of that” — “by the time I feed my family, I have maybe $400,000 left over.”

OK, he actually seems to say he makes $600,000 net income, then ends up with $400,000 to reinvest. So, I guess his take-home is $200,000 from his businesses.

Because books.

Wait, people have money left over after they feed their families?!
