Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Craaaaap. I am so sleepy and unproductive today! Stupid Emmys. I have yet to do a damn thing today!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Plenty of pretty chicks aren't getting laid on a regular basis. It all depends on the men around. She's not sitting around waiting to be tapped on the head by the chosen schlong. She has to like him too, and the topic has to come up.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm just glad those ads for the pilot of The New Girl will finally be off my TV screen. I used to like Zooey based on Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but this promotional campaign has burned through all my goodwill. And disinterest. And mild dislike. I think I'm in spit-when-I-hear-her-name-mentioned territory now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

And I refuse to believe that she isn't getting laid on a regular basis. Despite her "awkwardness" and glasses, plenty of men would sleep with her.

Eh, I overidentify with the main character WAY too much to comment on this.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

This weekend the Post had summaries - with commentary and ratings - of the new shows. The critic was saying "WTF happened to the women?" - he claimed to be one of the few heterosexual men who don't find Zooey Deschanel adorable. For her show he commented that the average age of the cast is 30, even though they seem to be living as 20-somethings and that she herself is 31 and is being presented as a "girl".

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Really great essay on gaslighting women. [link]

Per usual, don't read the comments section.

If I ever start blogging again in earnest, my blog will be called, "Don't Read the Comments Section."

And it won't have a comments section. Or contact info.

So many new shows with "girl(s)" or "men/man" in the title this year. @@
