Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Forgive me, I tried this question in Fic, but this might actually get a better resource (I hope!):
Beacon Hill tenants and friends, I need your expertise!
Layouts! What's with that creepy alley? What're the backs like? Where do you do your laundry? Where does your garbage go? And any other interesting tidbits that are unique to living in an area like Beacon Hill or similar neighborhoods.
Crackers, cheese, and salami here. And some sweet tea.
My hips are so tight. I've spent the last 30 minutes on the floor doing all kinds of stretching and I still feel like a rubber band pulled too tight.
I wanna go out for brunch tomorrow morning, but I don't have anyone to go with. Not in the mood to go solo.
Beacon Hill, Boston? I live near by there in a brownstone. By me we just have non-creepy alleys.... I do my laundry in the basement, and put out the garbage (in the alley!) twice a week. I mean, I don't actually put it out twice a week, but that's how often you can.
Dinner was a glass of wine and BBQ chicken pizza: white sauce, aforementioned chicken, avocado, vidalia onion, corn, spinach, cilantro, basil with mozz and cheddar. And a bite of bacon and apple risotto. I'm going to have to try their risottos next time.
Thanks, Jesse!
All the alleys are Creepy! And Awesome! God, I always loved walking by the buildings and peering down those mysterious corridors and wishing I could sneak in.
Basement laundry, cool, check.
Garbage in the (creepy) alley, check.
What's access to the back like? What's in the back? Do you have to share what's in the back?
Happy birthday, Perkins!
I made very tasty tacos for dinner, mostly as an excuse to make more salsa. Lunch was heirloom tomato caprese salad and a roasted Delicata squash.
Do we still have the utility that will download threads as files? I'd like to do some text searching offline.
Uh, I don't think we have "in the back" on my block -- it's a small block (thanks to alleys!) and I think the buildings just butt up against each other. Other blocks my vary.
Edit: Oh wait, I really have no idea because I'm in the front apartment on the top floor. I'm sure some have gardens in the back. Or "gardens."
Edit again: Here are a couple of real estate listings with back patios. [link] [link]
Ooh, you'll like the pictures here: [link]
I had a funnel cake today. First time in years and it was delicious - grease/sugar crack.
oh, god, I want funnel cake . . . The Utah State Fair is going right now, but I can't get up there. Piffle.
edit: what an odd typo, Farm for Fair. I wonder if we do have a State Farm.
