Speaking of baking soda, does anyone know where you can buy it in bulk
Smart & Final?
Costco sends coupons for birthdays? They don't to me!
Happy birthday, Perkins! I am so happy for you and the end of your treatment. Gives me hope.
Congrats, Suzi! I think green is a fabulous color on you.
Job~ma Sheryl.
I'm glad the taping went well, Sparky. My fingers are still crossed that Sass comes home soon.
Kat, I love fresh figs right off the tree, still warm from the sun. Just don't eat a lot at once. I find they have an erm, cleansing effect. Figs with prosciutto and melon are also yummy.
Costco sends coupons for birthdays?
le n, Costplus, not Costco. World Market, aka the world crack vendor. Lots of foodstuffs and unique furniture for not a lot of money.
WTF. Thank you for correcting my misreading. I like Costplus, but I REALLY like Costco. ;-)
Costco does send coupons but not for birthdays
Maria, Being able to help even a little is a seriously awesome birthday present, so I hope it did.
Looks like I'll be having a long day of sitting in the airport. My flight was supposed to leave at 8, but we won't even find out about when we can leave for another hour.
Ugh, Tom.
How you doing, Maria?
Ugh Tom!
Tom, that sucks. I'm sorry. There are very few airports out there that warrant a whole day of sitting in them.
Perkins, it really did. It's good to see someone come out of the other side.
Jesse, eh. There are good days and bad days. DH has his CT scan on Monday, an appointment at Hopkins on Tuesday, and we'll find out if it's spread to other organs on Wednesday. If it hasn't spread--barring a clinical trial that he's eligible for--he'll start interferon treatments the following week. I'm trying to get the research on INF together, because it's some nasty shit, and there are some studies that say it's not helpful at all, but it's the only FDA approved treatment for Stage III melanoma. I don't want him to go through the flu-like symptoms, fatigue, weight and hair loss, and potential suicidal tendencies if it's not going to help.
And of course, I'm not going to be of much help because of the new job--it's not like I can take off unless it's super-urgent. That is making me feel like the world's worst wife.
You are an excellent wife, and doing what you can. It would not actually be better if you were unemployed and had all the free time in the world, right? Eh. You work with what you've got.
In more amusing news, I'm watching a woman on House Crashers who seems like someone we would know. She has a shitload of books, isn't that psyched about the whole project and definitely can't be tv-excited enough for them, and is adorable.
