Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jess, FIRE BAD!!! Yikes! Glad it was a small fire.

Roller derby is the awesomest therapy in the world. I can seriously forget my troubles on the track, work out my frustrations and then have a beer afterward. Stuff just doesn't seem all that bad.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If you've used it before happily, I'd give it a go.

Also! How do you sharpen your eyeliner pencils?

I have cheapie sharpeners and midline sharpeners and I've never splurged for a highline but I haphazardly have them work perfectly or break off. I have no clue. I feel like if my pencils are too cold they shatter and if they are too warm they break blobbily, but I don't know where the Goldilocks temp is for them. I care more now that I have pencils that aren't just Wet n Wild, too. But I don't know. I think it's witchcraft.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Cash, glad derby is good therapy.

I've saran-wrapped my drains, and I'll try pouring boiling water down them in the a.m.

Jeez, I never thought I'd wish for colder weather.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

With cheap sharpeners bought at the dollar store, usually.

My go-to mascara for this year has been Make Up Forever Smokey Lash, which gives me the lush drag queen lashes, but lasts through hysterical crying. That, and either MAC LiquidLast liner or NYX Studio liquid liner. NOTE: those two liquid liners are not for the inexperienced. If you've never been good at applying liquid liner, do not try those. However, I love 'em.

Oh, and from way back, I use coconut oil and a hot washcloth to remove my makeup.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sephora has a cheep sharpener that I love.

Home from my belt test. Four hours of fun. I am so gassed. I've been chugging water, ate a Clif bar, chugged a Gatorade and I'm still cramping. Bleh. But I have my green belt now (after this is another level of green, 3 levels of brown, then black).

Yay, congrats!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congrats, Suzi!

Huh, I just realized that when the drip pan under one of my stove burners burst into flame the other day (it was like having a gas stove again! Except not) maybe I should have pulled out the actual fire extinguisher rather than the baking soda. Oh, well, fire was in fact extinguished.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just get my lashes dyed once a month and leave it at that. I've never had a mascara, even waterproof ones, that didn't end up under my eyes. I'll have to try blinc before my next fancy do.

Speaking of baking soda, does anyone know where you can buy it in bulk (aside from CostCo or Sams Club, since I'm a single apartment dweller who doesn't buy much in bulk and doesn't have memberships)? I go through so much of it, what with cleaning and all. Those little boxes from the grocery store don't cut it.

Librarian Warlord

We are finally back home (airline troubles - my daughter didn't miss us at all!). I can't answer specific questions about the show until after it airs, but it was a positive experience. I only wish we were on for a happy reason.

AC's eyes are very blue, and they are like laser beams when they are pointed at you. He had a good handshake, a really nice makeup person (she worked on me), and obviously loves animals.

Sparky, glad you are home and I hope AC's show helps you get Sass back.
