Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Jeeves is being super-cuddly too, now that the weather has shifted here.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Allyson, I'm sorry about your co-workers.

Speaking of work and budgets, there was a bombshell dropped at my work this week. The group that my lab is part of is being shut down. We have until June to wrap things up/ get things settled. I'm actually in decent shape, being a federal employee(they have to keep paying me until I find a new position), but I have to learn how to find/apply for positions as an employee. I applied for the position I'm in from outside the system, and have been in this lab for 11 years. Fun, fun, fun...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

except the 24-7 eyeliner, which is irritating because it smudges for me anyway, and then stays put smudged.

I have to apply it and then not let that skin touch anything for a few minutes. Then it's fine. But that few minutes of keeping my eyes closed for the upper lid especially is key.

I keep getting more lap cats too. Hi, Fall, I like you so much.

Art Crawl!!!

Tanuki is also being Miss Cuddley - she is currently lounging partially on my shoulder and partially on the sofa back. And purring.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I tried to buy the Monistat anti-chafing gel today! I swear. But I couldn't find it! I was all, no, not hemorrhoids, no, not jock itch. I think I was looking in the wrong section, because at the next store I found the Monistat stuff but not the gel.

This -- I don't know where I found it, but it wasn't at Rite-Aid. CVS, maybe?

Since I recommended the chafe gel yesterday, today's recommendation: CVS brand six-bladed razors. I do not know why, but I can tell you that after two years, these babies last for literally months at a time of thrice-weekly leg shaves. No joke.

It is barely 70 inside.

I wish I knew from whence the strains of the brass and drum sections of a marching band came from. MERVO High? Morgan State? Anyway, they're out tonight.

Because books.

I've fallen into the Apartment Therapy blog and I can't get out.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So...anyone else's evening involve setting a toaster oven on fire? Just me then?

(People, know how to use your fire extinguishers!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Huh! I am obsessed with some Target brand ones, but Target is kind of a pain for me to get to. The three-blade CVS ones I bought recently were for shit.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yikes, Jess!!!
