Oh, that's what TNG does, as well, except it's all dry kibble. If I'm not in the kitchen, she'll eat the rest in there, but she almost always takes the first mouthful into the living room.

I woke up at a decent hour this morning (9:30), without an alarm, got up, got a latte, and worked out! I feel so adult. Later today I will go to a film festival a friend is producing. But I still feel guilty my house is not clean, and feel that hiring someone to do that is lazy (but if it's not going to get done otherwise? I should really just hire. But I haven't)

As for the cat and dolphin, I admit my first reaction is that the dolphins smell of fish: why wouldn't the cat be interested?

It's entirely possible the cat does as well.

We're all going "Awwwwww" and it turns out they're just trying to figure out how to eat each other.

I was actually cringing at that smile full of razor sharp teeth that close to the widdle kitty. So easy to just pluck it off the boat like a bonbon out of the box. I wasn't too worried about the cat's claws on the porpoise's skin--they scrape and scrub stuff all the time underwater. But teef--scary.

Ha! If books didn't want us to judge them, wouldn't they all just have the same, blank cover? They're asking to be judged!

See what I did there, with the books and the slutwalk and all that? I also liked the "It shouldn't be this hard to be easy" sign.

I like the bit where the dolphin is under the water and pops up and the cat is all, oh, there you are! I chose to believe it is a step towards interspecies peace.

Oh Liese, I want to believe, but--teef! And then I go is that a smile? Or a predatory grin? Brrr. Less trust in general than I thought I had.

I know, I definitely had the same reaction right off the top. But they're all playful and headbutty and patting. I'm sure it's all just fine! Ahem.

I was just waiting for the cat to fall into the water, go all craxy flailing, and take out the dolphin's eye or something. But that video would be on a different site.

With the KCD thing I am trying to decide if I should apply the clue by four or let him stay clueless.

It's worth noting that dolphins do play with other species without consuming them.

Sometimes they play with sea turtles which are not so keen on playing with the dolphins. Non-consensual play, as it were. Sometimes they fuck with sharks, because Hey, they're dolphins and they can fuck with sharks.

And of course many reported instances of wild dolphins playing with humans, and sometimes rescuing them.

I can't imagine kitten fur looks especially tasty to them.

In short, dolphins are like humans and crows in that they're too smart for their own good and really spend a huge amount of time making up their own games to stave off the boredom.
