Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

ita, I wish I knew something to tell you that would help, I really do.

Suzi, I am so furious on your kids' behalf that I am shaking (issues w/ parents' divorce, let me show you them). KCD needs to be told outright that he has, quite simply, fucked up and needs to apologize profusely to his kids and spend some serious time working to put things right with them.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And only 6 episodes, although more are coming?

I think a second series was announced recently.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to see the Austin Lounge Lizards in concert last night. Great show, as usual. Turns out this was the last show for one of the founding members. (I knew this was the farewell tour for him, but didn't realize that last night's show was the last one on the tour.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really need to decide some periods I'm just going to have to hurt.

That's awful. I'm so sorry that that is a decision you have to make.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Useful sentence gleaned from Phineas and Ferb this morning: "That's why books have covers - so you can judge them."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Cayenne takes a large mouthful of her mixed dry and wet food, carries it over to the living room rug, drops it, then eats all of it bit by bit.

Oh, that's what TNG does, as well, except it's all dry kibble. If I'm not in the kitchen, she'll eat the rest in there, but she almost always takes the first mouthful into the living room. I think it's some sort of screwy defense mechanism, like eating out of the dish makes her feel too vulnerable.

ita, I hope you can get something worked out.

As for the cat and dolphin, I admit my first reaction is that the dolphins smell of fish: why wouldn't the cat be interested?

I have given up and put the heat back on; I've been cold for the last few days, and I was freezing last night. Warm is better.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My parents' Yorkie often takes food to the hallway and leaves it there for later.

I have seen this!

I woke up at a decent hour this morning (9:30), without an alarm, got up, got a latte, and worked out! I feel so adult. Later today I will go to a film festival a friend is producing. But I still feel guilty my house is not clean, and feel that hiring someone to do that is lazy (but if it's not going to get done otherwise? I should really just hire. But I haven't)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's entirely possible the cat does as well.

We're all going "Awwwwww" and it turns out they're just trying to figure out how to eat each other.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I was actually cringing at that smile full of razor sharp teeth that close to the widdle kitty. So easy to just pluck it off the boat like a bonbon out of the box. I wasn't too worried about the cat's claws on the porpoise's skin--they scrape and scrub stuff all the time underwater. But teef--scary.
