Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
And thank you, ita!
Publishers Lunch says the writer/creator of Luther is going to publish a sort of prequel to the series called Luther: The Calling. Interesting.
This morning I spent 45 minutes in a teleconference that was mostly taken up (~30 minutes worth) discussing whether we should have the teleconference. The other 15 minutes were spent trying to make sure everyone knew how to use their mics properly.
Someone email me that link so I can look at it when I am not at work.
The counter-argument from queer people opposed to that is that (1) "queer" = / = all "non-standard" sexuality, and (2) heteroromantic asexuals easily pass for plain old heterosexual and therefore benefit from straight privilege and are not oppressed.
Yes. And #2 is correct. Can you marry any person who you fell in love with legally in all 50 states in the US? Then my violin for you is VERY SMALL, and you need to GET OFF MY LAWN, or I will CUT YOU DED.
Yes. And #2 is correct.
Oh, I totally agree. Asexuality (particularly aromantic and heteroromantic) is non-typical sexuality, but it still isn't queer just by virtue of being non-typical sexuality.
insent, Plei!
Oh my god. I just right-clicked something and it took twenty seven seconds for the menu to pop up. Whoever normally works here must not use this computer much, because... it can't do much.
Looking at zuisa's tagline (When I was nine years old, I think I wanted to be a brontosaurus.) ... well, your (temporary) computer's a dinosaur - is that close enough?
Haha, absolutely.
The tagline is actually a quote from Fringe, but it's still valid. What nine-year-old DOESN'T want to grow up to be a dinosaur?
