People double-down. I do it all the time. Being wrong means your ancestors spent all that energy outrunning sabre-toothed tigers and hunting mammoths for naught.

Note for tommyrot: I drove the 2012 Focus--sweet car, nice ride, but they're not budging on the price.
Yeah, they didn't budge much for me either. They're still in short supply.
Also, the guy at Golf Mill Ford was giving the hard sell and by the end of the two hours I was there, I was getting a bit ticked off by his sales technique.
I hate that. I just walked out on a Dodge dealer years ago for that reason (after test-driving the 2000 Neon. I ended up with a 2000 Focus instead.)
I considered Golf Mill Ford, but bought my '12 Focus from Joe Rizza Ford. It's funny, but I'm still on Rizza's mailing list for being a former customer. So they just sent me an email saying there's a sale on the '12 Focus--7 weeks after I bought one from them.
For all of you people who love State Farm, I can now join in the love. Though I do not Wish For All The Flooding, they're taking good care of me (or, at least it seems so). The adjuster was out this morning and he asked me how long I worked on clearing out water, etc on Saturday morning and it turns out that they compensate me those hours towards my deductable. So, cool. I have never filed any sort of claim before (other than health insurance) and in my 42 days as homeowner before this, I didn't have time to fully read the policy. The adjuster was compassionate, educational, and supportive. And if they can't clean my Pottery Barn rugs, I'll get new ones.
But I am relieved that they will be reimbursing my hotels this week and compensating me for my time.
That's very cool! State Farm was good to me when I had auto insurance with them; one time, they gave me some of my premium back because they had a good quarter or whatever. I have renter's with them now, even though I switched auto to Geico.

OMG! You win!
People were expressing disappointment that Tor and Subterranean Press had chosen to publish it, and this one person is convinced that therefore SubPress is being oppressed. Their rights to free speech are being chilled.
If they're publishing it, how is their right to free speech being oppressed?
HOLY CRAP!
Oh man.
I win if I get my dog back. This is surreal.
