High heeled shoes are very pretty and sexy, I just wish our society didn't actually expect us to walk in them.

Remind me to stop arguing with stupid people on the internet. Bah.
Maybe we should take turns reminding each other. I'll meet you here, every day, at this time.
OMG I double-clicked an Excel spreadsheet, walked 20' to the kitchen, washed a dish, grabbed a Greek yogurt, mixed it, walked back and it's still not open.
Egad, my hamstrings are sore and tight and my back aches. This from walking to the DMV, sitting around for two hours to get an Oficial Quote on how much we owe (only three outstanding tickets, but still the whole megillah plus registration is $571). Then had to Muni and walk many many blocks to Luscious Garage to get an Official Quote for fixing the transmission.
All told: 3.5 hours spent procuring two sheets of paper.
Now off to the bank to turn those sheets of paper into a fixed and registered car.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday P-C! It was great meeting you last month.
Much kitty ~ma, Epic.
I don't even wear toe socks, so those toe shoes are right out. (The fact that the second and third toe on each foot are slightly webbed is a factor there...)
Maybe we should take turns reminding each other.
Yeah. Someone who responds to outrage about bigotry with the statement "Waah, your outrage is censoring the publisher!" is not someone I need to waste brain cells on. Especially when they keep moving the goalposts.
You are going to take care of your back tonight, right, Hec?
I've got to run over to the Hyundai dealership to see if I like the Elantra better than the Mazda 3 I test drove on Saturday. If I do like it, but they can't match what Mazda's willing to do for me (reduce the price by $1000, and if my credit is good enough, 0% financing for 63 months, so that if I put $8K down, I can have monthly payments of $200!), then I'll be going back to Mazda as soon as I hear from Progressive whether they'll be totalling my Civic or not.
I really liked the Mazda--tons of legroom (although the rest of the interior is a tad small), easy to put stuff into the trunk and the back seat folds down perfectly flat, the mileage is a bit lower than I'd like (24/33 mpg) and the interior hasn't been redesigned in forever, but it's a fabulously fun drive! Corners on a dime, really peppy on the straightaway, and just a great time on the road. It has all the bells and whistles I'm looking for.
Note for tommyrot: I drove the 2012 Focus--sweet car, nice ride, but they're not budging on the price. Also, the guy at Golf Mill Ford was giving the hard sell and by the end of the two hours I was there, I was getting a bit ticked off by his sales technique.
Did you linger in the kitchen, smonster?
When I was looking at cars several years ago, I really liked the Mazda3, as well. I've rented them several times (Zipcar uses them), and they're always fun to drive.
