Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

And the cobbler is in the oven. Woot.

My legs hate me. I only did a fraction of the official climb and I'm sore. CJ did the full climb and he is just tired. He is currently play with some rope we were using earlier and Noodle is fighting him for it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Took Emmett to Krav today, then collected Scola at Consuela's and dropped Tom, JZ and Matilda off at her Dad's house to do laundry, and take in the view.

Then went back and collected Emmett, swung by his mom's to collect a printer she's giving us, back to my FiL's house (so about an hour roundtrip).

Then ate Mac and Cheese, hung out and watched Mighty Boosh, made brownies and did several loads of laundry.

This last week we got a small loan approved from our Credit Union to pay off old parking tickets, get the car registered and (mostly expensively) fix the transmission. So in one swoop the Credit Union will solve almost all of our immediate problems. Yay, them!

Also, it looks like I've lined up part time work starting in January where I'll be doing tutoring of kids in Oakland. So it was a good week for moving stuff forward.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Consuela wins at pizza!! She just made dinner for javachik and me. Yum!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My engine light is on and my left brake light is out. I hope that's related. I need to find time to get that looked at. I hate changing the bulbs on the Jetta. The Accord was much easier.

Hey, Hec or any other afficionados of 60s fashion, can you suggest something in the way of a hat (preferably campy or outlandish) that would go with the outfit in this picture? [link]

Because books.

Matt, something like this? Possibly not quite that high, but that style.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I have the misfortune of being able to recall that era. I'd say it would be a newsboy cap like one of these: [link] [link] [link]

Possibly a beret, Matt? :)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Consuela wins at pizza!! She just made dinner for javachik and me. Yum!

That sounds better than the Trader Joe's pizza I had for dinner!

Thanks gang! Ginger's suggestion got the wheels in my head turning and led me to this, which seems perfect for the task at hand: [link]
