I got my nails done and hit the store(s) and now I have pizza fixings and the laundry is in the wash and the kitchen floor is scrubbed. What I should do is go cut back the bougainvillea, but I'd rather sit on my ass in front of SyFy and watch cheesy steampunk children's classics.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It would be nice if I could accomplish housekeeping without causing bodily injury every time. Just knocked a tower fan into my ankle.
Got my swim in just in time, as thunderstorms started up.
Now I don't wanna anything more.
It's like grief-porn.
That's it exactly.
Thankfully most of my usual haunts online are not indulging in it. My Tumblr stream is all about Halloween, gothy fashion, books, pretty boys in eyeliner, and bats.
Not that I should be online much today, as it is the final push of organizing in prep for Kittenpocalypse tomorrow.
sars just posted a little tribute to Don at tomato nation. It's subtle and good. Every year, that's the one piece of writing that sticks out for me, and I hope Don is okay.
The thing I had to sing at wasn't too bad. Now I am rewarding myself with meatballs and Doctor Who.
I hid in my condo-cave yesterday, so today I had to get out and do stuff. Picked up a new backpack for my daily commute from my new parking spot to work and then went grocery shopping. Now, I am obsessively refreshing the Star Trek Big Bang community whining because no one has picked my story for art or fanmix, yet. We had 174 artists sign up and only 67 stories submitted, with 37 stories claimed so far. Where are all the artists? Pick meeeee!
YAY, Perkins. Last infusion is so very good!
It is like grief-porn.
And it isn't. I listened to a little of a Story Corps special and was pretty moved by individual people's individual stories. I heard GWB read a letter Lincoln wrote to a mother who lost 5 sons in the Civil War, wherein Lincoln says mom should be consoled by the fact that they died for the Republic. Um. Tin-Eared much (both Lincoln and GWB, whose ears are all tin all the time).
But I've also gone to Target and then the consignment shop for pants for Noah, who got taller. And I posted pictures of Noah and Grace's respective first soccer games. I also got a new iPhone (YAY!) and a new otterbox (can I otterbox my whole life?).
I also bought a new Rowenta iron. SO EXCITED. I might even go hem pants so I can then iron them.
also, msbelle, thanks for being here to share and listen too.
At the laundromat they were playing sports, but what got me was the commercials. Really, Budweiser, your horses remember? Really?
Home now, time to fix dinner and do more work.
I ironed today! Badly, as usual.
What's an otterbox?
As always, YAY PERKINS!
