YAY, Perkins. Last infusion is so very good!
It is like grief-porn.
And it isn't. I listened to a little of a Story Corps special and was pretty moved by individual people's individual stories. I heard GWB read a letter Lincoln wrote to a mother who lost 5 sons in the Civil War, wherein Lincoln says mom should be consoled by the fact that they died for the Republic. Um. Tin-Eared much (both Lincoln and GWB, whose ears are all tin all the time).
But I've also gone to Target and then the consignment shop for pants for Noah, who got taller. And I posted pictures of Noah and Grace's respective first soccer games. I also got a new iPhone (YAY!) and a new otterbox (can I otterbox my whole life?).
I also bought a new Rowenta iron. SO EXCITED. I might even go hem pants so I can then iron them.

At the laundromat they were playing sports, but what got me was the commercials. Really, Budweiser, your horses remember? Really?
Home now, time to fix dinner and do more work.
I ironed today! Badly, as usual.

As always, YAY PERKINS!
I flew back from Rochester through Chicago and can say I didn't get too much from airports or flying passengers. Too much on FB, so I stopped checking updates until I got home.
The Don tribute was moving and subtle. Which is how I prefer my grief.
Otterbox is a waterproof cover for your phone, Amy. Damned snug .
DH is grilling crab legs for dinner!
Not really waterproof, I don't think. More like water resistant. My last phone lived exclusively in the otterbox but then the battery stopped holding a charge all day (bless Apple products).
We still have the old phone with all of the apps on it -- kid toy!
We have to go to a soccer opening ceremony. blargh.

Noah scoring at his game: [link] (He was also a super soccer rockstar. He scored like 6 goals, excluding the one that K purposely kicked out because the other team was getting teary-eyed. Unlike other kids, he figured out how to pass and he's one of the only kids on the field who didn't have to stop running to kick the ball... I certainly don't think he's a prodigy anything, but I do think last year's sports program at school and his week at soccer camp really helped him work some things out).

I love my otterbox, but be warned if you take it apart too often, the silicone starts to stretch and doesn't fit as tightly.
