My family is finally home and resting after an adventurous day. We went to the Red Rocks stair climb. While it was a remembrance event, it wasn't overly syrupy about it. Yes, there were a ton of firefighters in full gear and yes, we had a firefighter survivor say a few words before the climb started, but none of my buttons were pushed.
After the climb, we went to the farmers market (mmmmm, peaches). Then we rented a UHaul truck and went to KCD's to get my china cabinet. Brought that home, unloaded it, then returned the truck. A final stop at Subway and a fo-yo place and now we are all puddles. I'm trying to gather the energy to hit the grocery store, but I'm not sure if that is going to happen.
meara is totally America (and so can you!).
I'm going to the grocery store to figure out supper. And then maybe do laundry and clean the bathroom. In addition, I may do other completely boring shit that I've been putting off.
My hair looks good, though.
I'm watching Knocked Up which is both funny and ironic.
YAY, Allyson with the good hair day.
I really should go to the store. But every muscle I have is objecting.
I don't remember if I said it or just thought it, but it really is like the whole country is feeling the need to wear Smonster's new hard hat. In an entirely un-ironic way.
Heh.
You go, Erin!!
Laundry done, along with a good chunk of a barter arrangement. Now to stop by the grocery store and/or the pet store, then home.
Back from the folk fest. The theme was "Peace and reconciliation". We were listening to traditional folk music, and it became a running joke about the performers not having any songs that fit the theme, because trad folk music.
Peaches! I have some of those. I just finished a green leaf salad with egg and chicken (redundant much?) and cheese. I should have a peach.
And there will be corn on the cob for dinner.
Meanwhile I'm playing with digital photos of local color and domestic objects, and hanging out here.
OOH, I have peaches too.
I hope they are not over ripe--I should go find out.
