I'm thinking of stopping by the pharmacy and buying a sling on the way into work. That thing (or, you know, regular insomnia) kept me up way too long. I'm incredibly grumpy and don't want to go in.

So far we've had an earthquake, hurricane, and floods ... I think the only consolation is that it's too wet for a major fire.
Oh, but the Great Dismal Swamp fire was a couple weeks ago. Probably out now.
don't worry Eastern seaboard, we've got the wildfires all taken care of out here, no need for you all to get into the action. [link]
I'd heard about those ... really (REALLY) wish we could ship you some of this rain.

Maybe? Anyway, Irene was not enough to put it out. Might have burned out since then.
{{{Maria}}} I have nothing but love and hugs to offer, but they are yours.
Kathy! Dear heavens, woman! I hope you're feeling okay today and do not hesitate to go to the doctor if you're not.
So, dilemma.
I leave for work again next Saturday, and now my aunt wants me to fill in for the receptionist at her office next Wednesday - Friday, and I don't know what to say. It's the easiest job in the world (seriously, this woman could be replaced by an answering machine and the building would probably be more efficient for it) and I sort of desperately need the money, but the prospect of the last 3 days I would have had to sleep in for six months being taken away has me distraught.

Uh, ita !? Is this a new problem? Oh, or the port installation? Either way: no good.
Seriously, zuisa, do you need the money or the sleep more? That's a reasonable calculation to make.
