Oh, and I wanted to say, I hope the new job is at least nice to you, even if I know it isn't what you want to be doing. Don't let that mess with your head. We'll have to get together once you sort out the particulars of the commute and the health-crisis alert level has downgraded.

Maria, yay! Good to see you around.
Yeah, we just skyped with M and it's been raining for a couple of days, their basement is dampish and it's supposed to rain through the weekend. OTOH, school started for him yesterday, he got the teacher he wanted and all his mates are in his class.

Despite never wanting to use chemicals on Bartleby,I do give him Frontline. We live in Mosquito Mecca.
Note, I don't use Frontline Plus. The additional 'features' are unnecessary for us.
I did a ton of research, hoping to find an alternative, but even the holistic vets agree, there is not 'safe' way to effectively keep the little bastards away.

That's both awesome and frightening.
I NEED THOSE SCHWEDDY BALLS.
I NEED THOSE SCHWEDDY BALLS.
I can't believe they actually did that. Heh.
My vet advised me to use Advantage over Frontline because I can use the same formulation on the dog and the cats, just different amounts. So I buy the biggest container of Advantage I can and divy it up with a (needle-less) syringe. Seems to work, and the syringe is easier to get down to the skin than the applicators, especially on the longhaired cat.
Glad you are not on fire, Maria.
We are broke right now, so I just used the tubes of Frontline we had left. Hopefully, we'll break the cycle, but if not, I'll get Advantage in a month.
I wish I could ship this rain to Balstrop, TX. My aunt and uncle live 10 miles NW of Balstrop proper, so maybe 10-15 miles from the fires proper. Luckily for them, the fires are not heading their way at all. But they are dry-dry-dry. Their property is full of scrub oak, holly and cedar and it is all dying.
