Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I think the eyelash drug happened the same way -- it's a glaucoma drug with a side effect of making your eyelashes awesome.

Yep. And it works. Grows back eyebrows too, FYI. I would be using it on my hairline but it's too expensive.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Is that eyelash stuff OTC or prescription?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

it's a glaucoma drug with a side effect of making your eyelashes awesome.

Man, that stuff totally works. I can't use it too far into allergy season because my eyes are so irritated by THE WORLD, but if I start using it before it totally helps. One assumes by having lashes catch plant sex goo before it flies into my eyes and makes me sad. Also? Really makes my lashes look fantastic.

Ok, now who wants to make me a promise about no more expensive vet visits?

Me? Me! Please, me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think the eyelash drug

Latisse! Sounds like an 80s R&B singer. I bet Jesse has some Latisse on her iPod.

Ok, now who wants to make me a promise about no more expensive vet visits?

Nevermore! (B'more appropriate)

or some cardiac thing

Speaking of which, I had an EKG today and my heart is OK. Blood pressure is "very good." Unfortunately for your 50th year checkup they schedule a colonoscopy. Yay?

Other exciting events of my checkup:

1. A strange woman fondled my testicles today. (Admittedly, she was only "strange" in the sense that I had just met her. Otherwise Dr. Mary Martin [I made no Peter Pan jokes while she palpated my nads] was entirely not strange.)

TMI alert...

2. She said "I want to look at those hemorrhoids." A sentence I don't think anybody would ever actually say in this world.

I replied: "You don't really want to, do you?"

Also, I got my TDap shot. If you all get whooping cough it's not my fault.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I need to dye my hair. Blergh. I am also fickle and change my mind constantly and want to try a different color, but there are so many choices! It is ridiculously overwhelming.

It's been red-ish for a long time, but I think I'd like to go -really- red, like, Amy Pond red, but I'm not sure I'm quite cool enough for hair that awesome. I'll probably do it anyway, but in the next couple days, so if it looks ridiculous I'll have time to try something else before I join my ship.

OTC, but available only at your dermatologist's office. AFAIK. It's not, like, at RiteAid. It costs ~$170 for 3 months supply (though it lasts longer than that).

You are!

Also, you're going to be in Seattle, yes? Ple is the queen of hair color advice.

I had old Sassys from issue 1. I think that was courtesy of my mother. No idea how she heard about it! I either aged out of them or the quality declined in later years, as my interest waned before I left for college. No idea what happened to them.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That's how its effectiveness as a hair-growth dealie was discovered -- it was prescribed as an oral medication for (IIRC) angina, or some cardiac thing, and one of the side effects was notable hair growth.

Wait, it was taken orally?

What the hell is Sassy?!
