Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's got filters.

The storms are dying down now, but that was a freaky set of high winds. I have seen news video of Dixie Speedway, and it doesn't seem all that unlikely that there were pieces of cars headed towards Oz. Cass, the track itself is fine, but the wind did a number on the bleachers.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am glad the storms are dying down. That's a little troubling to have such powerful weather threatening you.

but the wind did a number on the bleachers.

Which, thankfully, were not full of fans. Themselves full of beer.

Ginger, do you have any sense of what the weather is supposed to be like tomorrow? They had a tornado warning in Athens tonight. And tomorrow we have to drive from Cincinnati to Athens. My father is suggesting we stick to 75 and go via Chattanooga and not risk the mountains.

I'm so done with 15 year old boys right now. My own took a short nap and woke up grumpy as all git out. He is off to karate now and I called to make it an hour instead of just a half hour. He needs the work out and I need him away from me. A classmate of his, who used to do karate, is a friend on FB. This kid just posted something completely offensive and I couldn't help myself. I called him on it. Waiting to see if there is any fall out from that.

That's the one thing I've learned about Ben, who is normally mellow and sunny. Wake him up and you get growls and grunting and actual bad temper.

Ginger, be safe! Race cars or not.

Go, Liese, go!! Have you taken time to keep fueled with food and liquid?

Flea, in Atlanta and Athens it's supposed to stop raining by morning, with a chance of thunderstorms starting in the late afternoon. This system is moving north and east, so it looks like there'll be fairly heavy rain in the Appalachians through tomorrow. The whole area, including North Georgia, is under a flash flood watch until Wednesday. It will be overcast and cooler, so a repeat of the freaky winds is unlikely.

The kid I called out on FB deleted the post in question. I'll take that as a win.

Gonna go back to the dojo in a bit to catch the evening adult class. Need to do as much as I can before my test.
