"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It got kind of wild outside, so I sat in the hall for a while. This caused me to ponder how much my hall needs painting and why the woodwork so rarely forms right angles.

A woman in Woodstock, north of Atlanta, reported that part of a Dixie Speedway race car had landed in her front yard.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What!?

Stay safe, Ginger!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Came across an old friend's address. We'd lost touch over a decade ago. Via Google I find that he died last August of cancer. Fuck. He was an interesting guy, active in the music scene in Nashville for a really long time. I still have the gift he gave me for my 25th birthday.

That's got to be unsettling.

What!?

I heard her call the radio station. I'm hoping there's a picture somewhere. The radio news people were saying things like, "If anyone is missing part of race car, call...."

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Stay safe Ginger.

I love going to karate on holidays. Instead of our usual material, we usually get to learn something new. Typically a black belt something. Today we learned the first part of a Shoalin Black Tiger form. Very fun. I'm tuckered, but happy tuckered.

CJ came home for a couple hours this morning, then was out again for a picnic with his BFF. I wish I had half his social life.

It all depends on how our Kitchen Destruction and Reconstruction is going.

Want details.

So I did all but the yardwork because it is fucking muggy out there and now raining and I didn't want to. Later in the week. Besides, my trash was very overfull since I cleared out the fridge and freezer. I think the biggest laugh I got was mandarine orange cups with a sell by of 2007. I have NO IDEA how those didn't get culled in the move. Really, that was the worst sin.

Medicine cabinet now has contents. Culled there too. Yay!

I was also going to attempt to re-attach the newly sagging lining in the car ceiling, but see: raining. Which is probably partly why it is sagging. There is a tiny leak in there somewhere, because it stinks in there when it rains and feels damp. But I cannot figure out where.

Oh, when I got to the pool, I discovered pawprint impression on my face. You know how you get sheet impressions from the pillows? Well, after I got up this morning, I wasn't quite ready to hit the pool, so I lay down on the couch. As is usual when Loki is feeling cuddly, or I am prone, he came to sprawl out on me and nap. With a paw stretched up and pressed into my cheek. Hence, paw impression.

Punishingly Intricate

It keeps torrential raining here for 3 minutes at a time. I'm trying to decide if I should go to the store but the rain is scaring me...well, making me lazy.

Today's big accomplishment was coordinating 3 schedules and booking a trip to Austin to surprise our old bandmate when he plays a show with his new band on his birthday next month! I'm really hoping we can all keep it a secret from him!!

I'm excited but also, man, this fall is busy! We have weddings for each of the next three months, starting this weekend in Provincetown. Plus .. a million other things.

Good think I slept a lot this weekend!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ginger, what?!!? That's crazy and scary!

Jesse, are you working in Windows? I use Irfanview to do stuff like that. It can adjust jpeg quality and file size as part of the "Save As" operation.

I am working in Windows. Is that something to buy? I don't think I care that much.

I am sweating like a pig, but have corn chowder on the stove and peach cake in the oven. Still summer!!

Stay safe, Ginger.

Alas, the national news did not call back. If they do I am going to scream b/c my DH goes to NYC tomorrow for work and I will have to do the interview without him. Local TV news picked us up again, today.

And thank you for passing on the good wishes and facebooking friends!
