Yesterday I was saying "cranky, cranky!" out loud to myself, and the dog came running. Heh.
Okay, I have done more dishes (I can almost see the counter in front of the toaster, which is Dirty Dish City!) and now I have GOT to go Wash All The Clothes (And Sheets). My roommate just left for the laundromat, actually. So I am going to take my coffee to the porch, smoke a cigarette (yes, I fell off the wagon), braindump stuff to do and things for my wishlist, and then go to the mother effing laundromat.
Did you at least take the greenway?
No, I walked through downtown, and the home football game crowds, which is what I think drained my will to live, ultimately. So many blue-painted people.
Erin did a bang up job on my resume and really helped me stay motivated, if you're looking to hire someone. If you just want a first look, I'm happy to check it out.
Thanks! If I can come up with a draft today, I'll send it to you, and I'll email Erin and ask her about rates.
Those are awesome, Amy! What adorable kids, too.
ION, I am such a dork. I have nearly taught my dog Frankie the command "Relax." It goes Sit, Down, Relax (roll over on back).
That's wonderful! Tell me you use "Frankie Say" as the command for "Speak" (even if it's not true, I want to believe).
Walter refuses to roll over. My sister's dog, Gina, finally learned it and now it's her go to why-won't-you-give-me-a-treat-already move, so I was hoping having her stay with us for a week would help him get it, but no. I've tried the treat thing, he just swivels his head around until he can't any more and then looks at me like I'm crazy. And if I try pushing on him, he just jumps up and walks away, affronted.
Only one of them is mine, but I love the other one, too. She's a doll.
And way to go with the not smoking, Jen! One day I'll ... think about it. For a minute.
Oh, I hear you, believe me.
Only one of them is mine
And I even knew which one!
Love the tattoos! Awesome.
Erin's rates are up on her website: [link]
Man, one of my former trainees drunk dialed me last night, which I forgot about until I listened to his apologetic voicemail just now. He and his wife and baby are homeless right now. He's working and she's trying to collect unemployment, but it hasn't started yet. Even the shelters are overflowing, sadly but unsurprisingly.
