Oo Steph, I'm jealous. I want to have ice cream with the Flea Family one day, in no small part for the amusement value of watching our two girls play together.

I can vouch for hanging with the Flea Fam as a fully enjoyable activity. Emmett and I had a good time seeing them in Athens.

Okay, if I prefer a less sweet pickle, should I just change the ratio of sugar to vinegar? Say half and half instead of 2 parts sugar, 1 part vinegar?

Sure. I imagine you could forego the sugar entirely if you wanted. They aren't candy sweet even with the preposterous ratio. I'd say the are much less sweet than your average gherkin. Vinegar and fridge is what lets them keep.

Because books.

Oh, msbelle, suck. I'm sorry.

After I'm done with the stripper.

No one said "hubba hubba" here? I'm a little disappointed in us.

No one makes decent horror anymore. Insidious was absolutely stupid.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Olivia cried at the end of PotC: At World's End when Elizabeth and Will said good-bye. She tearfully said, "I'm crying over nothing!" I asked her if she was sad Will was leaving.

Her crying made me cry, dammit!

Sara, just went at both cats with my people clippers and those worked so much better than the crappy cat clippers. Miss Kitty only let me get her front paws, but Noodle is manicured all the way around.

Now if only I could get this headache to go the heck away. We are moving past 24 hours and it has been a long time since I've had a headache linger like this. Thankfully it isn't a migraine.

I'm ALL about juvenile humor when it comes to removing paint. Such a PITA. Especially when your hands cramp and quit working at random.

Suzi, glad to help. We always used people clippers on the cats. Devi gets these needles after only a couple of weeks, and since she likes riding on my shoulder, it is a necessity unless I want to play remove-the-fishhook-from-my-back.

msbelle, I'm so sorry about the US Open. That just completely sucks.

Grace had an intermittent fever yesterday with more fever today. Including a 105 this afternoon. Of course when we were at the doc's office yesterday she had no fever. ugh. Maybe we'll page the doc?

I spent the better part of today on the angry birds cake. Here's the finished cake: [link] A better pig view: [link] a better bird view: [link]

I used 8 lbs of buttercream and a ton of candy clay. We drove it to my friend's place because if Grace is sick tomorrow, we aren't going the party. Also, she had fridge room where I didn't.

Miss Kitty used to be an indoor/outdoor cat, so that always kept her claws in check. Since we moved here, I let them be. She never scratched furniture or used her claws to climb, so I didn't do much. But Noodle is much more rambunctious and if I'm taking care of her's, I might as well do Miss Kitty too.

Both cats are hiding from me right now. Hopefully their little cat brains will remember I'm the one who feeds them.
