Now tagless for your comfort.

Olivia cried at the end of PotC: At World's End when Elizabeth and Will said good-bye. She tearfully said, "I'm crying over nothing!" I asked her if she was sad Will was leaving.

Her crying made me cry, dammit!

Sara, just went at both cats with my people clippers and those worked so much better than the crappy cat clippers. Miss Kitty only let me get her front paws, but Noodle is manicured all the way around.

Now if only I could get this headache to go the heck away. We are moving past 24 hours and it has been a long time since I've had a headache linger like this. Thankfully it isn't a migraine.

No one said "hubba hubba" here? I'm a little disappointed in us.

I'm ALL about juvenile humor when it comes to removing paint. Such a PITA. Especially when your hands cramp and quit working at random.

Suzi, glad to help. We always used people clippers on the cats. Devi gets these needles after only a couple of weeks, and since she likes riding on my shoulder, it is a necessity unless I want to play remove-the-fishhook-from-my-back.

msbelle, I'm so sorry about the US Open. That just completely sucks.

Grace had an intermittent fever yesterday with more fever today. Including a 105 this afternoon. Of course when we were at the doc's office yesterday she had no fever. ugh. Maybe we'll page the doc?

I spent the better part of today on the angry birds cake. Here's the finished cake: [link] A better pig view: [link] a better bird view: [link]

I used 8 lbs of buttercream and a ton of candy clay. We drove it to my friend's place because if Grace is sick tomorrow, we aren't going the party. Also, she had fridge room where I didn't.

Miss Kitty used to be an indoor/outdoor cat, so that always kept her claws in check. Since we moved here, I let them be. She never scratched furniture or used her claws to climb, so I didn't do much. But Noodle is much more rambunctious and if I'm taking care of her's, I might as well do Miss Kitty too.

Both cats are hiding from me right now. Hopefully their little cat brains will remember I'm the one who feeds them.

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit a nerve -- I know how hard it is.

Holy crap, Kat. That's awesome. Poor Gracie, though. 105 is no fun, and a little scary.

Thanks! It turned out better than I thought it would. but if ever I do fancy cake again, I'm tackling fondant.

Yeah, I think it was part of her gets-hot-when-she-sleeps. When that happens, we give her tylenol layered with advil (since you can give advil every 4 hours and tylenol every 6). Her temp went right down.

It's not respiratory because she saw the pulmonologist yesterday and nothing is growing on culture from the specimen we took. I worry that it's her g-tube since she keeps having fits at feeding, but there isn't any swelling or leakage and when you touch the button itself, she only cries 50% of the time, which is behavioral and not physical, I think.

Sigh.

So glad the cake is done and delivered!
