'Not Fade Away'
Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hee. From the article:
"The first lesson TV supergeniuses have drilled into audiences is that it's possible to acquire absolute mastery in multiple fields while still young enough to be attractive to the 18-35 demographic. A few of them are Australian enough to be attractive to every demographic."
Ugh, Lisah. I hope there is no third, and that things work out for your friends.
Ugh. I was just telling the receptionist that I haven't had any problems with my food making a reappearance for a few weeks now, and then I ate the Egg Beater omelet that the cafeteria made me. Or rather, I tried to eat it. Just got back from the bathroom, and I feel much better now. They use waaaay too much oil on the griddle and put waaaaay too much cheese on the omelet, and my stomach no likey.
that Cracked.com article is fantastic
I couldn't get past the picture of Pacey. There's an article?
Oh, Joshua Jackson. You, like fine wine and George Clooney, just get so much better with time.
Just moved cubicles. Wheee? At first they had me going into, what I consider, a bad luck cubicle. Last two people in that cube were fired/placed on mental leave. No thank you. Now I'm all moved into a different cube. It is going to take a while to get used to the new place.
We had to move because our old space is needed for storage. wtf?!?!?
Now I'm all moved into a different cube. It is going to take a while to get used to the new place.
Are you away from super stinky smoker guy?
Oh, oh, yeah!!! He is technically a teleworker. When he comes in he will be using a cube near my new area, but I have different route of escape now instead of HAVING to walk by where he is sitting.
It is amazing how little stuff I had to move. The vast majority is my desk toys and personal stuff. Guess we are taking steps closer to a paperless office.
I concur with all statements previously made here re: Highlander.
That Cracked article has made me realize why I haven't "done more" with my life: it's not because I'm not a supergenius! It's because I'm a regular human who's lazy and gets bored easily, and doesn't want to invest many many years doing *anything*. ...No, wait, I knew that.
I called in sick to work again today, because the chainsaws and woodchipper started up again at 9am. It's all about 50 yards from my office window, and I couldn't deal. Maybe I'm a whiny baby, but how the hell am I supposed to concentrate with screeching machinery AND an earache that makes wearing earplugs uncomfortable? It's been quiet for a couple hours now, but the machine is still there, lurking, waiting for me to drop my guard and relax. I have no hope for continued silence until I can look outside and that big yellow menace is gone.
