Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hee.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ah, Funyuns. Trader Joe's now has a baked version of the Funyun. Not quite the same, but being gluten-free, I do get them from time to time. (Although my One True Trader Joe's Bagged Crunchy Snack Food is those awesome Cheese Crunchies. I will never go back to Cheetos.)

::sigh::

More Nemesis: is there a way to manipulate someone into involving you? I can't figure out how to get someone who hates me and wants me gone (so that she can take over my program and not get anything done) to keep me CC'd on her correspondence and invited to her meetings.

That is, without sending her a weekly email requesting her to forward copies of her correspondence.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Bribe her with Funyons?

Blackmail, Consuela?

I'm sort of not kidding, since she seems absolutely toxic.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay for a happy resolution to the car saga, Allyson!

Yvonne the Cow is my hero for the day.

My grandfather used to say, "Never try to wrestle a pig. You just get dirty, and the pig likes it." (Meaning, don't argue with stubborn stupid people.)

The broken automated machine at the post office continues to thwart me.

Did it claim to be a unicorn?

Oh my goodness! I think I just broke something laughing.

I asked because I started a blog about the costume shop, mostly because I am trying to track what is going well, and what I would like to change next year. I am working on trying to teach the students something working within y crazy situation, and in the process perhaps making the whole thing work better for me-- if my students can do things, than I don;t have to.

It is here if anyone is interested, but I am super wordy and the topic is super specific, but I would be interested in anyone's perspective:

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My grandfather used to say, "Never try to wrestle a pig. You just get dirty, and the pig likes it." (Meaning, don't argue with stubborn stupid people.)

An older version of not feeding the trolls. I like it.

That's really interesting, Sophia. I bet people who read erinaceous's blog would like it -- you should send it to her!
