Timelies all!
We seem to have lucked out, and didn't lose power at all. I guess we are far enough west to have missed the worst winds.

We have been so fortunate. One of my rubbish bins got blown around. No leaks. Decent night's sleep.
My neighbor has a HUGE branch down in her front yard. No damage and exit possible out the back door. She has had a plague of frogs in her life recently, so I was worried about her emotionally. She is, in fact, totally chipper this morning.
Two blocks away, a 60 foot tree came down across the street, totally pancaking two or three cars, but no houses hit.
Now that the rain has stopped, we may stroll a bit to see if anyone needs support.
So I guess the storm is really heading west, so we're only expecting 3-6 inches of rain here. I just looked outside and saw someone posing for pictures. I hope there was someone else taking pictures....
Jesus, ita. It is appalling if someone's hallucinations affect your care.
At least this time, he's not tied out in someone's backyard.
Ugh, wtf, people! Poor pupper.
In other hurricane non-news, I have seen references to the last one here, which was apparently Hurricane Bob, 20 years ago. It must have been in September, because I have literally no memory of it, and that was my freshman year in college, and I couldn't pay attention to anything off-campus that fall. (I still feel bad about forgetting some surgery my mother had!)
I remember Hurricane Bob! Mostly I remember stocking up on candles and flashlights and then playing some long, complicated board game by candlelight when the power went out.
Bob is the worst name for a potential disaster ever, let me just say.
ita, I'm appalled. Tell them to call Cedars and have them check the records, and then shut the fuck up.
We came home from my grandmother's service and dinner at my parents' around eight, and about two minutes later the power went out. So we played LotR Rings Monopoly by candlelight while Sara played next door.
We had a tornado warning, and lost one big branch off the tree in front, and there's water in the basement, but that's about it. Power came back at 4:45 a.m. and scared the shit out of me.
We've lost power in Yardley, but that's about it in the immediate neighborhood. Gas stove = instant coffee for me. Starbucks, B&N, and Einstein all closed.
Last night was epic, y'all. It started with going to a bellydance hafla being held at a haunted country-western bar, and ended at a neighborhood gay bar (like, corner bar, not Big! Shiny! Gay! Bar! with a dance floor and whatnot) listening to a band called Yanni DiFranco. Or possibly it was Yoni Difranco.
I drank way too much, offered to make out with everyone at the table, and told Tim we should get married so that we could make our guests dance around a pig. He wasn't on board with that plan.
I'm not hungover, exactly, but I have definitely felt better. Woo.
Decamped to local cafe with power. ha! Geoff from Ace of Cakes just came in. Smalltimore.
Oh, Geoff is the best! No one mellower.
