Last night was epic, y'all. It started with going to a bellydance hafla being held at a haunted country-western bar, and ended at a neighborhood gay bar (like, corner bar, not Big! Shiny! Gay! Bar! with a dance floor and whatnot) listening to a band called Yanni DiFranco. Or possibly it was Yoni Difranco.
I drank way too much, offered to make out with everyone at the table, and told Tim we should get married so that we could make our guests dance around a pig. He wasn't on board with that plan.
I'm not hungover, exactly, but I have definitely felt better. Woo.
Decamped to local cafe with power. ha! Geoff from Ace of Cakes just came in. Smalltimore.
Oh, Geoff is the best! No one mellower.
Bah! Was supposed to meet up one of my BF on her way thru town from a family reunion but they've decided to head right back in case of stormy weather. Irene!!!!
I like the suggestion that they call Cedars to check the patient records. Also, I find it hard to believe that someone can mistake anyone else for ita. Don't they know there's a moon named after you?
I had a lovely evening at javachick's, complete with musical accompaniment by Beth's DH, and a wonderful new cocktail concocted by megan walker. Except I have a backache and a probable sinus infection and I'm now doped up on Aleve D and naproxen. Bah. Getting old bites.
Glad to hear all the easterners are mostly okay. Today I have many tasks to do, but what I would really like is to sit on the futon all day and write. And read. And drink tea. Feh.

If they were serious, they would do just that. Being nasty without following up is just nasty and unnecessary.
I picked up the September issue of GQ because there's an article about the Texas gang rape case in it. Bonus Mark Sanchez cover and photo spread is a bonus, but boy, this is weird. Is this what men looking at women's magazines feel? I don't know one man who looks anything like the men in these pages, or would want to, frankly.
I woke up today missing f2f interaction with buffistas. I must have had a dream about y'all cause upon waking I was sorely disappointed to not have a housefull of spicy buffista brains.
I just helped CJ with his ASL homework. He has to turn in videos of his assignments, so my web cam got it's first workout. It was pretty easy.
Grocery shopping is next on the list, then K-Bug and I are going to the state fair and rodeo. Wheeeee.
I mean, yeah, the point is they're trying to avoid people who are actually abusing the system, those same people that make it harder for ita to get the medication she genuinely needs. But if they were intent on rooting out the abuse a quick fact-check could get it done.
So this morning I had for breakfast an omelet with cheese and Hatch green chiles. I thought you all should know.

And the professional way is to simply check. Intimidation just to see if she'll react or walk is completely out of bounds.
