"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

LA buildings are a lot more earthquake-proof. The last I heard, the only building built to significant seismic standards in Georgia was Vogtle nuclear plant.

No one's calls are going through - everyone's calling family and friends at once.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

People felt it here, too. We didn't, in my office, but the news is reporting dozens of calls about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Frank, we were probably most likely to feel it because my actual office area is on a beam that bridges two buildings across a street. A coworker said, "Am I drunk?? Or did the building just move???" Hee.

Doorframes is what I remember from training as kid. The idea of getting stuck on the stairs terrifies me.

Because books.

We were out doing errands and didn't feel a thing! Maybe it doesn't like the Philly suburbs.

It happened around two, I'm guessing?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Checking in. I was on my lunchtime walk/read, so I was right outside the National Museum of the American Indian and got to see the building swaying.

No damage, no required evacuations, but allowed administrative leave for the rest of the day.
