So yeah, that earthquakey thing! Turns out, actual earthquake! Freaky!
Freaky! It's so weird to see reports here, FB and Twitter from Toronto, NYC, Boston, Flea in Georgia. That's one massive quake.
That's crazy! And kind of a big one, especially for places not used to it!
We don't even share quakes across the whole state. You guys sure get around.

I know! It's very strange. Still, a 5.whatever is pretty big, especially for areas without seismic codes.
I hope nobody got hurt!
Yeah, most of us left the building. At first thought it was facilities moving eqpt upstairs. Then maybe blasting in the ravine? Then it.just.didn'tstop. And the walls were visibly shuddering.
I've never felt a quake before. I don't like them.
There was one in Colorado too! [link]
ETA: Whoops! That was last night. I'm just getting alarmist now.
@fivethirtyeight tweeted that the earthquake was really shallow--6km underground--and that's why it traveled as far as it did. No idea if that's how it works, but that's what Nate Silver's saying, anyway.
