Boy is in the bath tub - check FB for how filthy he was. All that and they weren't able to recover the body. Apparently a guy found him Saturday in a series of caves on the far side of the mountain. After having teams work their way up and over, it was determined that they didn't have the expertise or equipment to recover the body. The family is hiring a private "expert".
CJ used the term clusterf*ck to describe the whole day and it sure sounds like it from what he told me. There was a group of volunteers with horses trying to help with the recover. One horse stumbled and rolled over his rider, breaking the rider's leg. CJ did get to help carry him back to base camp. Another horse, that was being led, tripped and broke two of his legs and was put down. Then they decided horses were a bad idea.
CJ spent most of the day at the top of the mountain as part of a communication relay team.
I'm working until my brain dies, then it is nap time.
Good god, that shit is real for CJ. He's not just playing around the edges picking up the pieces. Good for him.
I think I will buy the coat, despite already having a dusty rose trenchcoat.
I am starting so ship Thor/Captain America due to fanart. Fanart can make me ship almost anything. It's so pretty.
Wow, Suzi. What ita said.
What ita said.
Yeah, Thor/Steve is pretty irresistible.

Oh, man, that's awful. I mean, it's also awful for the lost hiker and his family, but one of the first thing you're supposed to learn in doing SAR is how to protect your own team's safety.
There was Little Caesar's pizza at HQ when the kids got back. Nice breakfast, I guess. Anyway, CJ brought home half a pizza and is working his way through it. He is tired, but his brain is still racing, so no sleep yet.

After we saw Captain America, Tim said, "So Cap is a virgin, huh?"
"It's okay," I said. "Avengers teams him up with Tony Stark and Thor."
The horses were from another group of volunteers, not ARP. But yeah, as soon as he mentioned horses, I knew that was a bad idea and I wasn't any where near the mountain.
And the guy who had his legs broken -- god. That's really unfortunate. I'm not going to think about the horses.

Mmm hmm. Someone has her sassy pants coat on this morning.
Is he going to make it to school today?
