I'm afraid I have a horrible desire to ask Our Dark Lord of Ass Embiggening whether he has a "son" in "Africa" or whether he is a "professor" in "Wisconsin".
Oh my god, me too. That was actually my first thought. My second thought was that my first thought proves that I am an evil, awful, untrusting misanthrope.
I'm not as cynical as meara. I believe that there is an Africa and a Wisconsin.
I nearly choked on my garlic roll.
Hope to see you again soon, Darth C! Please don't worry about it, we've all "stepped in the guac" at one time or another.
Guac is like shit, except green and more likely to be found in your burrito.
Welcome sith master of sweet cheesey goodness!
Me, I'm finally free of the plane and back in cool grey SF. Bah, I miss the sun already.
Welcome, Darth C!
Speaking of cheesecake, there is a middle eastern restaurant near my house that has a dessert that's a sort of baklava/cheesecake hybrid.

I'm looking at places to stay in Santa Barbara. I think this hotel needs to hire a new web designer
I love placeholder text screwups! Well, I love them now that I'm no longer working in print and can fix the XML immediately.
Tom, I loved the place I stayed in Santa Barbara. You can see it at the bottom of this post on SB: [link] The Boys stayed at the Canary, which was fabulous, but was very pricey last minute. When I was staying at the lighthouse in Oregon I met a couple who told me about a haunted cottage at a great inn in SB but I can't remember the name for the life of me.
There've been storms since before 8. There was a brief window without, but not enough. And then there was hail. Sigh.
Starting the interview~ma now, Maria, will keep it rolling through the scheduled call. Good luck!
I'm off to be social, possibly followed by grocery shopping. Whee!
