I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's a group on FL called So Cal Shibari.

I don't know how to navigate FL. It's all very overwhelming.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have a strawberry blackberry cobbler in the oven. I doubt it's healthy, but it smells awfully good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oooh, looks like I'll be spending two weeks in DC in January. I'll be doing a show at Arena Stage.

Can strawberries and blackberries live in peace?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yes. In my belly.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I braved the Army-Navy Surplus store to get CJ a second uniform. Oh man, could I have fun in there, but we bee lined in for what we needed and then straight out again.

Reminds me, I need to buy a shitload of ripe peaches at the market tomorrow (love my market, you tell them you want ready ripe, every vendor will dig through the buckets to find the ripest. You want ones that will last a week of lunches? They do that too.) Want to slice them up and freeze them for the fall. They are really damned good right now. Peachy and vanilla-y and so sweet. I've been eating 2-3 a day despite my adversarial relationship with peachfuzz.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Also, I tried on this dress [link] from the "Mad Men" collection, and it was SO CLOSE, but I didn't need it. I wanted to need it.

After the F2F, MFNLaw, Holli, and I did some shopping. We loved this one I asked where the Joan collection was, cause I need something with some hip room.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I don't know how to navigate FL. It's all very overwhelming.

It really is. At the top of the page is a link for Places; it takes you to a page where you can pick a state (or country, but it's basically USA-centric). When you pick a state, it will show you the first handful from a list of people who claim to be from that state. Under that, there is a handful of upcoming events in that state, and below THAT, a handful of groups that relate to that state.

Under those first 3 categories, there will be a list of cities within that state. You can click on a city and the page it takes you to will show you the same thing that the State page showed you -- a handful of people from that city, a handful of events for that city, and a handful of groups for that city.

Under that handful of groups is "See more," which should give you the whole list of groups for that city, so you can poke around and see if there are any that are relevant to your interests.

And from there I usually link-surf. That's how I found the So Cal Shibari one.

This. I have a bunch of friends there but I hardly ever go on because I have a hard time figuring it all out.

And I would love if buying things would get me boobs like Christina Hendricks! Sadly, nothing will, including corsets.

My understanding of girdles was that they were stronger than Spanx--but then, Spanx have never done much for me in terms of squishing me in (corsets do though).

I just bought this dress in a gorgeous purple. I have now officially spent ALL THE MONEY OMG at Nordstrom Rack...three different Nordstrom Racks.

And I need to find a tailor who will put pockets in my dresses. Do they do that? The Nordstrom guy wouldn't.
