There's a group on FL called So Cal Shibari. It looks like their events rotate between LA and points south of LA. There's gotta be more, though.

Reminds me, I need to buy a shitload of ripe peaches at the market tomorrow (love my market, you tell them you want ready ripe, every vendor will dig through the buckets to find the ripest. You want ones that will last a week of lunches? They do that too.) Want to slice them up and freeze them for the fall. They are really damned good right now. Peachy and vanilla-y and so sweet. I've been eating 2-3 a day despite my adversarial relationship with peachfuzz.
